How a Leading U.S. qCommerce Operator Stopped Reacting to Competitor Pricing and Started Anticipating It
A major U.S. qCommerce player was monitoring competitor pricing manually - a slow, inconsistent process that left pricing and promo teams always one step behind. They needed daily, structured competitive data across all relevant platforms to move from reactive adjustments to proactive pricing strategy.
Areas of collaboration:
- Automated DWH integration: Pumping daily SKU-level pricing and promo data from DoorDash, Instacart, and Amazon Fresh directly into their BI infrastructure for zero-friction querying.
- Promo cadence & depth mapping: Tracking discount frequency and margin depth across key categories, allowing the Promos team to architect proactive, data-backed campaigns.
- Automated KVI price indexing: Tracking Known Value Items and calculating daily competitive price indices, completely eliminating manual data collection for the Pricing team.
